Players are very limited to what they can do, imms have control over basically everything clan related, ranking, issuing warrants, pardons, etc.

With the lack on active imms it would be very helpful to give these powers back to the players so we can regulate ourselves.

What exactly do you have in mind?

I'd like to see certain ranks and higher able to rank people in their respected clans, I'd also love to see players with the ability to issue pardons, newbies attack the wrong mobs all the time, hell I logged on ds from ls last night and forgot to change my config file and ended up attacking a trolloc and bam instant shadow warrant. The ability to clan would also be great, I'm all for voting a player into a clan but with the lack of active clan members a one man vote is about the best we can hope for.

A few clans had "council" members scripted in a while back who could perform things like clanning, ranking, and warranting/pardoning in the case of human clans. I know I had these powers for Ko'bal and Chase did for Borderguards. Your guess is as good as mine as to whether or not the scripts are still in.

As for Shadow warrants, make me a Chosen Dreadlord/fade and I'll log in to take care of them periodically!

I don't think making anyone a chosen fade or dl is the solution, a council on ds, possibly one or two people from each clan would work nicely. Active members could act independently on things such as pardons but the council could veto the pardon if they wished. A prime example would be my pardoning Joe Blow who swears he accidentally attacked a mob then later we find out he actually attacked a clan member.

This would probably require a way for the council to communicate out of game such as their own forum board or a council mailing system, I'm sure Galnor could handle that if anyone can get him to do some work.

we could have a ls council and a ds council thread which would enable all council members of ls and ds to speak with each other openly without fear of people not authorized to see whats goin on...

This is still an issue, Turiya has been trying to get clanned for two weeks and we haven't seen one imm on in that time.

I need to check to see if Council flags still work. If so, I can add some active members as councils. I'll take care of Turiya.
