IRC channel #kinslayermud

I took the liberty of resurrecting the old IRC chat. Server is irc.deviantart.net:6667, channel is #kinslayermud. Feel free to use it to chat, organize people to log in, whatever. I'll be on it periodically as Fogel. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I or someone else experienced with it will answer them eventually.

any of you guys use ventrillo?
I have access to a vent server we can hang out in to get organised to play kinslayer. Also, its a blaster to pvp using voice comms.

You'll need a client of some sort. I used to use mIRC (
http://www.mirc.com/), but Firefox users might find Chatzilla (
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/16) to be easier to use. Some IM clients also offer IRC support, I know the one I use (Pidgin) does.
Instructions for connecting using Chatzilla:
-open Firefox
-click Tools and then "ChatZilla"
-type "/attach irc.deviantart.net"
-type "/join #kinslayermud"
It's been a while since I've used mIRC, but I recall it being a bit more complicated. If someone really wants to use it then I'll figure it out again and post instructions. Maybe at some point I'll look into whipping up a Java client to launch off the web page.

This channel is in use again. The same settings still apply, but with one exception: the server is now irc.freenode.net. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. IRC used to be a great tool for communicating with other players and coordinating equipment returns cross-race, so I encourage anyone interested in such things to take advantage of it.
