Ok, well Ive been looking for a good book series and cant seem to think of one which sounded interesting. Ive read the Wheel of Time, A Song of Ice and Fire, Sword of Truth, and the Obsidian Trilogy by Mercedes Lackey. Just any good fantasy book that you guys thought were even decent. Any suggestions?

I started reading Isaac Asimov's Foundation series recently, and its amazing. Definitely worth taking a look at. Or if you'd prefer fantasy to scifi, I found Stephen King's Dark Tower books to be pretty decent (or at least the 3 that I read, can't vouch for the others).

Yea, looking more for WoTish books, no space or future stuff pretty much...

Anything by China Mieville. Fantasy mixed with grime and rust and a sort of strange technology.

Titus Groan for a heavy slow different take on fantasy.

Gene Wolfe's The Book of the New Sun series. My personal favorite fantasy series. The hero is a torturer with a headsman sword honed for decapitation wondering a dying world orbiting a dying sun with the remnants of civilization no-one knows how to use rusting in the background.

Zelany did a good fantasy series also - cant remember the name though.

Anyone wanting Sci-fi/cyberpunk though I would suggest Richard Morgan's books.

Roger Zelany wrote the Amber series. Its about 10 books in total, although each book is on average 200 pages in length.

I liked Julian May's Exiles trilogy plus the 3 books books that prequelled it.

Harry Potter is the best book series out there.

Bleh, i'm addicted to eve now, although I will come on here and play soon I think. I have to say though I regret playing eve, its just so damm addictive and most of the time its not really that fun. it's like smoking. It's like this game really, keeping your cool, blocking the chokes, role based attacks, hours killing npc's - although you can then buy any item you want - that part works so well because most people play with sub optimal eq which completely disproves the theory that many muds have followed which says that if anyone can get the best eq without camping a smob for five weeks (aka wotmud) then the game will be less fun. The reality is the opposite for some reason. The ethos is if you don't wanna lose it don't pk in it.

Like like wotmud though 9.999/10 kills are lag and/or gank.

Nothing though beats the thrill of this game. If you guys gonna be more active ill fight.

The new WoT book is out by the way.. Its pretty good. Shit actually starts hitting the fan.

It just arrived in the mail yesterday, going to start reading today!
