How about posting what option could be added to make you like the new who. What specific detail is missing that you desire to have back that isnt in the new who?

I already have who aliased to oldwho which I much appreciate, as far as whois I liked old and new as well.

Hah fine I guess I will put in my say. Here is how it currently looks for whois:

Chase Laurent is a level 50 Borderguards Councilman and Blademasters Instructor.

It seems kind of bland, and the "and" is just weird. Even though it was wordy before, I think it looked better the old way. Also councilman takes the place of rank names, which kind of removes the importance of clan rank if you are on the council (which is based more on activity). Old way:

Chase Laurent is a level 50 Borderguards Council Lord Protector Blademasters Instructor blademaster.

Again that is pretty wordy, not even including if someone is on legend list. If anything, I think it would look better as:

Chase Laurent is a level 50 Borderguard Lord Protector council blademaster.

Seeing as how you see I am a BM (or fade/greyman) so there is no need to even show the clan. Besides, once you are remorted to ranks even matter? Not that I have seen and Im almost rank 8 BM. So then you only show the single rank name and then the remort class is show instead of "human" or "trolloc" like a normal character would be.

In addition, I really liked how legend position was named in whois also. I am assuming it is being change on who list for a reason, but it seems out of place on whois. I actually whois'ed a couple of people on legends because I thought the first guy I checked was just being weird by putting "is a legendary" as his title. I suggest going back to exactly how it was before, but maybe changing it from 1 to "One" or "First." I think that may get shot down because it might be a Wot thing? But I think it would look better.

You can't go incog while on list too? Meh..

About the incog, does everyone hate that? If so I can remove that, though it does make sense if you think about it.

Quick note: if you haven't realized yet, '-', '[', and ']' have now been added to the characters which cannot be used in titles. If you set these before the prevention measure was created, they simply will not display in who/whois.

I actually like this journal thing. One thing I've always tried to get but Fogel just ignores me is a chance at having a pretitle. Apparently Wot uses pretitles for masters but I really think it would be a cool option to get. Maybe make it a quest in the journal for high ranked people, like rank 9 or even rank 5 remort, to get Lord or Lady.

Are more quests going to come in for titles or anything?

Yeah Chase, more quests/titles/achievements are going to come. And about the 'pretitle' thing, the capability is there, but where do you think would be the best place to display it? Whois?

I think whois and who should show it. It would be a normal color. Nothing colorful at all.

For instance:
Lord Heritage Benton is standing here.

Whois heritage
Lord Heritage Benton is a blah blah blah.

And maybe a similar name/pretitle thing for DS? Like.. "The Horrible" or "The Merciless."

The Merciless Kombat Damage is standing here.

This has already been created by Alder and I'm predicting several types of prefix titles (hard to obtain, of course) becoming available. Stay tuned folks.

I've tested it previously, and prefixes do not look good in the who list. But whois and in-room displays seem like a good place to put them.

If your title doesn't display in color, just deselect it within your journal, then select it again. Otherwise, all titles should be colored by the next reboot.
