You need to understand something, Callisto. When somebody kills you they have the absolute and unquestioned right to pick through your gear and take whatever they desire. This is a PK mud. That is how we get equipment. You must be pretty new here and that excuses your erroneous beliefs to an extent, but not completely; I guess people probably impressed upon you how important returning equipment is to continuing PK, and how everyone does it. Yes, that's the way it's been going, and it's really nice, because if you die you don't really have to worry about going and getting a complete new set.
The point that you've been missing is the following - when players return gear it's because they do not need it. If I kill you and you've got two neck trinks that are better than mine I'm going to swap them and that's the way it is, because I killed you and your gear is now mine to do with as I like. I'm not going to take the rest because I don't need it and I'd like to keep PKing with you, but I'm sure as hell going to take anything that will improve my odds of continuing to kill you and take your wps and scalps. People don't return gear that they need, and if you've anyone has been doing that, they're barking up the wrong tree.
I don't mean to come off as offensive, but your ideas here are way off target, and if you're going to fit in with people you need to understand the reality of the situation. Looting isn't that big a deal - if someone does it to you, go after them, kill them, and loot your gear back, that's the way it's done.

OK well after reading everyone's post i'm understanding the atmosphere.

I lay my oath, (even though atm its not worth much) that i will change my ways. I wont full loot anyone, ill loot things to best my current kit on my current character i'm playing on. If i loot a weapon that i can use on the character i'm using i will take it and if possible i will my weapon in its place so that the fallen enemy can once again pk.

I apologize to everyone i have looted, and swear i won't do it any longer.
I also apologize to everyone i have been an absolute dick to.

I ask everyone to forgive me for my past actions and also ask you can believe me that this post is sincere.

as for you Lamgwin, we have obviously gotten each other angry over some childish stuff, we are in the same clan and you are my superior so i wish for us to make amends and stop our fighting and become friends. I don't know if you can do this but aside from all our arguing i think you are a pretty cool guy. so i offer my truss to you in hope you will accept it.

Recently I've been going through a fair bit irl but things are going back on track for me. i wish to turn over a new leaf on this mud and start again with everyone so that you can all learn im not a bad guy.

If you keep doing it, I have no reason to take as many risks in pk as I do. I won't continue to fight 1v2, I wont follow you into cities, I wont hit on patties, I will just sit in murash or port around so you can never even find me, or fight when its like 5v1.

So it comes down to...is it more important to get scalps and wps, or to loot. Because in the long run you will probably get one or the other.

like i said in the beginning, some people can walk the walk, but they cant talk the talk. i am the type who can talk the walk but cant walk the talk. you got out on a friday night and get laid and you are feeling pretty good and then you get shot in the balls on the wrong side of town and you are outta luck because then it hurts. i had to tell you this, but its part of the game. you get laid and then you get shot in the balls. so you gotta go get you a new set and glue em or sew them back on. it really dont matter because in the long run they gonna get blown off again. sometimes its best to just be a no balls kinda guy and just get a crow and make it to south gate. once you get to south gate go three east and lay down the hammer. this should prove to do the trick.

Look dude - the basic premise of this game is PK. The reason it exists is PK. That's why we smob to get good gear, so we can do well in PK. There is no point to having top-end gear, other than to maximize your chances of doing well in PK. All of the decent players on this MUD PK in their top-end gear, and they do so with the knowledge that when they die, they could well lose all their nice goodies.

Decent gear is not hard to get on this MUD, so if you lose some stuff, you smob until you've replaced it with okay gear. Then you keep on PKing until you kill someone with good gear, which you swap out for your previous stuff. Then they do the same thing, keep the ball rolling.

That's the way it is, go back to wotmud and sit around RPing with all the other people that don't have the stones to PK if you don't like it
