i agree with lighuxe, you should be able to see some kind of gating residue (according to if your male and their male, or if your female, and their female) for 2 tics or so, showing what room they went to with the gate code, so you can follow them, but i still think the timer should be lower for non clanned / low ranked people.... 30 seconds of timer seems too long imo...
