Then comparing an issuable heron-type weapon and 100% lblades with some low % random bladeforms is nothing to fade with attack, 1/1/2, low % fear, mounts, teleport, and master weapon.

Yeah, blademaster would definitely need the pracs like the fade...1/1/2 Warrior/Ranger/Thief like Lithium said fades currently have coded.

1/1/2 pracs is nice, but fades also have extra skills to prac. Fade, ride, possibly attack, and I don't know if they get extra pracs for ride like humans do. I'm not sure that their pracs come out any better than any other class.

masters should get a title in front of there name, such as lord or lady...for example Lord Chase or Lord Raiden. just a suggestion

Seems I have heard of that somewhere else :p - how about something similiar but identifiable with this MUD instead.

How about regen bonus, wouldnt tear up a side completely if they happen to have a fade/blade or whatever... and would make them so much harder to kill in a long pk battle

maybe let greyman only turn into a mob after hes killed it, like soldier in fd,,, would need a new name or people go round psaming kill soldier nd end up geting warranted
like the idea of alchemist, maybe give him a skill like ambush called boobytrap
attack is a bit strong atm with small playerbase would just own to hard especialy those poor dodgers
well thats what i think

Bonusses are for the weak ! :p

Agreed, I don't like giving bonuses to people who are already good at pk.

Yea I don't want any bonuses, especially with the smaller mud at the moment. Non pk-related quirks are cool though..

Out of curiosity, can we still turn in other people's master weapons for qps?

I tend to agree with Lamgwin, current fade bonuses would seriously unbalance what little pk we have, but I think there is an easy solution, get rid of fear completely but keep attack, make fades weapons half the damage of a normal weapon and allow them to place two points towards the weapon as they choose. This would make attack more of a rp bonus rather than a pk one. I don't know how fading is but it should have a seriously long timer and you can't be engaged at start or finish so it's not a get out of jail free card.
Not sure about BM's, possibly give them emote dmg forms that would replace their current round of dmg rather than be stacked, or completely forgo BM's and give clanned LS mob lead at rank 9, but the mob would have to be pretty weak to remain balanced, to counter this a troll would simply have to run to a friendly mob or patty.

Out of curiosity, can anyone think of any other RPish Light side 'master' rank that would fit as the fade equivalent?

If you mean rank bonus and coding is an option I'd say switch target would be pretty cool but that is a pk bonus although only useful if you have two people on you.
For a non coding idea how about clan master housing, allow the master to pick an rpish zone to build their house but that falls in line with an old request of allowing players to earn housing.
If you meant what rank would equal a fades shouldn't it be rank 9 or are there difference between the amount of qps a rank 9 on ls and a rank 9 on ds have to acquire?

What I'm looking for is another group from the books that would be a fitting human fade equivalent.

Not a lot of options to work with, blademaster is the only one I can think of and I've read all of the books. Humans don't remort so they are very limited, there could be additional titles after master such as general or possibly having a clan leader such as Agelmar step down allowing someone like Chase to fill that roll granting them additional perks.
The idea of moving to an elite clan such as Chosen is a great incentive, so for humans you could allow them to clan blademaster or grant them the option to remain within their clan but with addition perks per rank.
You could also create a new and unique clan for LS, something like "Protectors of the light", we don't have to stick to the book 100%, some of the coolest clans on wot weren't in the books. How about a player remaining in their respected clan and getting clanned to this elite clan, it would be more of a council clan with perks and unique for LS.

LS bookish upgrades are basically Blademaster, Wolfbrother, Gaidin. I would think of Blademaster as a warrior upgrade, Wolfbrother as a ranger upgrade, and Gaidin as its own clan. For a thief remort you might want some kind of assassin class that can use poisons or something else cool, similar to Koradin's alchemist idea on page 2.
Aside from that, something like a "General" class/rank/tag like Aj suggested that could boss around mobs, maybe give bonuses to group members. A super clan for top LSers isn't a bad idea either.

I think rather than nuking fear if you made it work only against mobs it would be perfectly balanced and a lot of fun to use smobbing.

Channelers! The remort could be a channies!

channies are way too overpowered, even compared to fades

Actually we don't know if channies are overpowered or not, their weaves have been totally overhauled and are still unifinished.
I would be very happy if Galnor would finish just a few weaves and let some players beta test them, I don't want a channie but seeing a few around would spice the game up for sure.

I just want the blademaster title, but if not, make anyone like that a Lord. Noblemen were a step above just like fades are over trollocs. Same clan though!
