Rapport
That's the point trin. Make one horse much more valuable, you'll work to keep it alive.
Also why I mentioned buy armor for the horse, to possibly stop them from getting stabbed, and give them some abs when attacked.
I'd see something much more valuable with keeping one horse alive and naming it and actually playing the game with such a device that could heighten our RP.
Georj arrives from the north, riding his faithful steed George.
Georj gets *horse food* from a pack.
Georj offers *horse food* to George, who gladly accepts and feels much better.
IE, when you type score, only with the horse your riding, you could see the horse is hungry/thirsty, and keep up with horse maintenance with that horse.
Thus enabling the horse to have better regen when riding, b/c it's full...
Or, you could even add a skill to "order" a horse to rest. So the horse would be able to rest.
That's one of the discrepencies between trollocs and humans. Trollocs can sleep their mvs and get better regen, as can humans for base mvs.
But otherwise those horses seem to stay awake 24/7, never are hungry, never have any problems, and get tired, but never ever rest to heal faster.
That was my point, but, I guess it's beyond comprehension. Also, that was the reason I offered it as an option, so that if you wanted to continue to horse hop, you don't have to be rapport with them, you'll just continue what humans do now.
BUT. There was still the possibility you could raise a good ole horse like George and take care of the ole guy and have him help you do wonderful things.
Sigh. :/

i actually think the horse thing is not so good, alot of humans will start getting pissed when trolls stab the horses out from under them that they have been working on and spent a week getting eq for them. i already stab horses but this would just make oh so tempting to do all the time!
i like the idea but it's gonna be hard to balance. if two psyco abs users get together it would equal death to every one. and i dont even wanna think of two channies together *shiver*

Hmm. I wasn't quite clear, I thought I had stated explicitly that some types of armor could resist being stabbed, or really lower the damage.Vurek wrote: Add in horse eq(possible armor for the horse, mvs trinks etc) and you can actually get some good stuff going with a specific horse.
Naturally all this would end when a trolloc kills it, thus the horse would be of much more value to the human.
Also any other horse armor bought could act as abs when trollocs attempt to kill it.
That would result in more work for keeping your horse alive, but, I think it'd be cool all the same.
I just don't think theres much of an RP atmosphere from any human being able to ride any horse that's not being ridden at the moment. Hell, the human never tires from riding tons and tons of remounts, superman right there.
And, I don't see how the human can get the same amount of moves from every horse, I would think that a properly trained horse for a specific person would be of much more value and work.
Just something to do, quests for horse eq(soloable) and other things to allow a player on ls to do something when our enormous playerbase is not on.
