anyone have one of these that actually work? and instructions on setting it up?

no its not the safest place to hide, I never said it was safe it has plenty of obsticles. it is however, the only place a thief can hide and have a chance to heal or get moves (especially with a trolloc). It is only a chance, as Lamgwin suggests you should move a room or two ever now and then ...
