The Wheel of Time

The Wheel of Time is a series of fantasy books written by the late Robert Jordan. The series was originally planned to consist of six books, but now consists of twelve published novels as part of the main series, with two more in the making, accounting for a total of fourteen novels in the main series. Prior to his death, Mr. Jordan released a prequel novel under the title of "New Spring." In preparation for the worst, Mr. Jordan left ample notes so that the series could be completed the way he wished should he be unable to finish it himself. As such, Brandon Sanderson was selected by his widow, Harriet McDougal, to complete the series after Mr Jordan passed away on September 16, 2009.
