The success of a bash depends upon how well you are learned. To bash someone is to attempt to 'knock' that person over. If you succeed you will inflict minor damage, and cause the victim to fall on it's rear. The victim will be unable to issue any commands for 2 rounds of violence. If you miss you loose your balance and fall.
A bash makes you unable to type commands for 2 rounds of violence.
Note: Hitting a person who is resting/sitting will inflict 1.5 * damage.
Usage:
Typing “Bash” by itself will allow you to bash your immediate opponent. If you have more than one opponent on you, you may “bash victim” and that will cause a different opponent to sit on his rear.
Kicking your opponent causes him to lose ‘movement points’. It will also disrupt any of his current offensive attacks. There is one small catch – whenever you kick (or miss) you will be unable to type any command for three rounds of 'Violence' -- so be sure that you do not need to flee!
Usage:
Typing “Kick” by itself will allow you to bash your immediate opponent. If you have more than one opponent on you, you may “kick victim” and that will allow you to target a different victim.
Backstab is a way to sneak up on a person and attempt to place your dagger in his back, at exactly the point where it does most damage. Backstabbing your opponent will cause significant damage. Missing however will leave you helpless for two combat rounds.

Charging is a good way to stick your spear into your opponent’s ribs and causing a lot of damage. This special skill requires you to know how to use a spear and to be ridding, and if you miss your opponent you are left helpless for two rounds.
Usage:

Skewering is similar to charging however you do not have to be riding a horse and rather than using spears you must use a lance. Missing your opponent leaves you helpless for two full rounds as well.

Sneak is used for sneaking into rooms without anyone else taking notice. Turning sneak on will cause a big “S” to appear on the left-hand side of your health prompt. A word of caution; turning sneak on does not guarantee a successful attempt to sneak into anyone’s room, depending on how well you are learned in the skill you may fail attempts to sneak.

“Sneak”
If you hide people looking or walking in and out of your room will not be able to see you. One condition applies; if they have turned “notice” on, they will see a “hidden life form”. Your identity will not be compromised at first, but you have lost the element of surprise.

Notice will allow you to pay special attention to your surroundings, see hidden opponents, and engage them in battle. If you’re of the human race, you must be more conservative with the skill for it will cost you extra movement points while traveling with it on.

Attack will allow you to hit your opponent more frequently. This special attack will only work with short blades, and the frequency will depend on how well you are learned in the skill.

Will occur automatically as soon as you have learned how to do it.
Pick will allow you to pick locks. Not all locks can be picked, and some locks may require you to be more specialized (more learned) than others.
Usage:
pick [lock name] [direction]
Riding allows you to “mount” a horse and travel around with him. This skill allows you to save your own movements points by using the horse’s movement points.
Usage:
To ride: ‘Ride horse’
To dismount: ‘Dismount’
Tracking allows you to see what direction people have gone. The more learned you are the more details you can get from looking at tracks.
Usage:
“Track” will allow you to see all the most recent tracks up to a maximum of 4 lines of detail depending on how learned you are.
“Track [victim]” will allow you to track a certain person.
This command is useful if you want to try and make an attacker hit you instead of your poor friend who is being pummeled. You can only 'turn' one monster for each rescue attempt. This is very useful when playing in groups, of course.
Usage: “Rescue [Victim]”
DodgeLearning how to dodge will enable you to increase your overall defense. It will also allow you to avoid bashes.
Usage:
There is no specific usage, after practicing dodge you will see your total defense rise.
Practicing shield parry will allow you to parry with a shield. You do not need to learn how to parry with your shield if you are wielding a two handed weapon, learning how to use that specific weapon will be enough.
Usage:

Use steal to steal gold or items from people. The chance of not getting caught depends on how well you have practiced steal, and if the person is asleep.
Usage:
"steal [item] [victim]"
Being able to search enables you to find hidden exits. Knowing on to search is essential if you want to travel around the world and find all the secret areas. It will also allow you to open the secret doors.
